Regulations on conducting the international esports series

IBA BOXING GAME WORLD SERIES 2025-2026

1. General Provisions

• IBA Boxing Game World Series is an international esports series in the IBA Boxing Game
discipline, conducted in a one-on-one fighting competition format.
• Organizer: International Boxing Association (IBA) - https://www.iba.sport/
• Period: November 2025 - December 2026
• Format: offline qualifications in cities, online tournament throughout 2026, and a large offline
final in one city.
• Goals: promoting esports in boxing, attracting audience, developing players' skills, and
integration with traditional boxing.

2. Registration and Participation

2.1. Participation Terms:

• Open format — players aged 13 and above are eligible (according to ESRB rating: T (Teen)).
• Registration is done through the official platform https://ibagame.com/, where you can select
your nearest participating city.
• Registration fee: free entry for participants
• Participants under 18 must have written consent from parents or legal guardians in case of
winning prizes (in free form).
• Players must provide valid ID (passport or other document) for age verification and
identification.
• Multiple accounts are prohibited; one player — one account. When registering in the game, you
specify your gaming nickname, which is used in "guest mode"
• Participation under the influence of alcohol and drugs is prohibited, without explanation,
including consumption at the venue.
• All risks and treatment costs related to fight scenes shown in the game regarding moral, mental,
and physical health, including panic, epilepsy, seizures, aggression remain with the participant.
• Tax deductions according to legal norms in the country (venue) when receiving prize money are
the responsibility of the person receiving the prize money.
• Participant confirms not using software, specialized systems that would help gain advantage in
the game. Anti-cheat applies: Use of cheats, hacks results in immediate disqualification and ban
from future tournaments (tracked through game logs and reports).
• If unable to determine the championship winner in a given city, organizers and league have the
right to take time for decision-making, recalculating playoff bracket points for more accurate
results, but not exceeding 30 days.
• Organizers are not responsible for registration queue waiting times, and venue access is strictly
limited by venue capacity.
• All information on https://ibagame.com/ and related subsections is public, and organizer
reserves the right to change it no less than 1 hour before tournament start. Responsibility for
obtaining current information (schedule changes, participants, regulations, venue) lies with the
participant.
• Participants who haven't completed pre-registration and don't appear at the designated
registration time at the venue specified in regulations and on https://ibagame.com/ are not
admitted to the tournament.
• Mandatory condition for participation is downloading and registering within IBA BOXING GAME
via links provided on https://ibagame.com/. Refusal to download and register is considered
rejection of all tournament conditions.
• When downloading the IBA BOXING GAME mobile application, user agrees to policies and
distribution conditions on download platforms.
• In playoff series, players who physically leave the event automatically transfer their spot to the
next ranked player.
• Players who pass "Qualification stage" are fully responsible for presence at the venue; in their
absence, their spot goes to the next person in registration order.
• Participants confirm that all photos, videos, and other images (including those obtained in online
broadcasts) may be used by organizer for advertising and other purposes not contradicting laws of
participating countries, including personal data processing.
• Number of fights in Qualification stage may be changed unilaterally depending on venue
capacity and sudden increase in attendance during certain time periods.
• Participants confirm that all photos, video materials, and other images (including those obtained
during online broadcasts) can be used by the organizer for advertising and other purposes that do
not contradict the legislation of tournament-participating countries, including in the field of
personal data processing.
• The number of fights in the Qualifying stage can be changed unilaterally, depending on the
venue's capacity and sharp increases in attendance during certain time intervals.

2.2. Number of participants:

• Offline stage – "Qualifying": up to 2000 players maximum.
• Offline Play-off: up to 64 players based on qualification results. (1/32 finals)

3. Tournament System

3.1. Tournament Format

• 8/10-hour open tournament in each host city.
• Matches are conducted in 1v1 format – classic boxing in shortened format up to 2 minutes per
fight.
• Character selection: All boxers/characters allowed (no bans unless otherwise stated in updates).
Character choice doesn't affect rating.
• Qualifying stage uses rating system, Play-off is elimination-based, Super final has 7 fights.

3.2. Tournament Stages

Registration: Open tournament — anyone can register online in advance. Participants can range
from 500 to 2000 people.
Seeding: Players are distributed and match searching occurs randomly, since the game has just
been released and no participant has prior game experience.
Pool Stage: Each pool (~30-40 players) plays according to: 2 minutes – practice (training), up to 15
minutes for 5 fights in-game.
Main Bracket: Judges manually assign exact scores (through programming) based on in-game
statistics using principle: 1 win – number of hits (fight experience), based on 5 conducted fights for
each player from Pool Stage.
Play Off Top 32 → Top 16 → Top 8: Progressive narrowing, with matches on main arena for Top 8.
1 game – 1 winner, 1 eliminated. Possible online streaming on Twitch or other platforms.
Grand Finals: Match between top 2 places from Play Off consists of 7 in-game matches,
determining 1 winner with most wins. No additional rounds provided.
Bonus Finals: Invited guest (blogger, boxer, influencer, etc.) plays encouraging final with internal
selection winner through drum draw. Participants allowed from 64 play-off participants, excluding
Grand Finals participants. Prize choice remains at organizer's discretion and announced at venue.
This Bonus Final is conducted at organizers' decision.
Winners' ceremony conducted after final match.

3.3. Match Rules:

• Pause: Prohibited during rounds (except technical issues); penalty — loss of round.
• Coaching: Allowed only between matches or during specifically allocated time.
• Blind pick: For first match — players choose blindly.
• Technical issues: If disconnection or failure occurs, match resumes from interruption point;
repeated issues may lead to point loss.
• Player rating in "Qualifying" stage determined programmatically after each fight as specific
experience number.

4. Prize Pool and Awards

4.1. Prize pool per stage: $5000

4.2. $3000 - first place, $2000 - second place

4.3. Payment: Via bank transfer or PayPal within 30 days after tournament

5. Age Restrictions and Rating

5.1. Age rating: ESRB: T (Teen) — for players 13+

5.2. Participants under 18 admitted only with parent/guardian consent

6. Code of Conduct and Penalties

6.1. Behavior:

• Respect towards opponents, judges, and spectators (no obscene statements, harassment; in
accordance with Capcom Code of Conduct)
• No collusion or match-fixing
• Dress code for offline: clean clothing, no offensive symbols

6.2. Penalties:

• Minor violations (e.g., late check-in): warning
• Serious (e.g., cheating, violence): disqualification, ban
• Appeals: to tournament director within 1 hour

6.3. Health and Safety:
- Compliance with local COVID/other disease rules
- Provided food and breaks

7. Entertainment Program

7.1. Popular Bloggers Participation:

• Each city — invited ambassador (blogger or pro-boxer)
• Autograph sessions, meet-and-greets
• Food and drinks for participants optional from minimum calculation. Bring water in advance.

7.2. Exclusive Matches:

• Demonstration match: Selected player from TOP 32 vs. Invited Ambassador
8. Broadcasts and Media
• Broadcast will be on league's official social media and video platform accounts
• Possible publications in local and world media
• Possible publications by invited influencers
• Mandatory use of #IBABoxingGameWorldSeries for promo
